Chocolate Lentil Donuts - Baked

Ingredients:

You will need a donut pan for this recipe!

Preheat your oven to 350’F.

  • 3/4 Cup One Organic Farm Organic All Purpose Flour

  • 1/3 Cup Organic Cacao Powder

  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt

  • 1 Cup Organic Lentils, cooked

  • 3 Tbsp Organic Butter, melted & cooled

  • 1/3 Cup Organic Coconut Sugar

  • 1 Organic Egg

  • 1 tsp Organic Vanilla Extract

  • 1/2 Cup Organic Milk or milk substitute

For the glaze:

3/4 Cup Organic Icing Sugar

3 Tbsp Organic Cacao

3-4 Tbsp Organic Cream or Coconut Cream

2 tsp Organic Maple Syrup

Grease donut pan.

Prepare the lentil puree, in a blender combine the lentils and add the butter. Pulse until the mixture is smooth.

Add the egg, coconut sugar, vanilla extract and milk to the lentil puree in the blender and pulse until well combined.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, cacao, baking soda and salt. Add the lentil mixture into the dry mixture. Be careful not to over mix the batter.

Pipe the mixture into your donut pan and bake for 10 - 12 minutes.

Once they’ve cooled, glaze.

Glaze: With a whisk mix together all the ingredients for the glaze until the consistency is smooth. Dip each donut into the glaze.
